One Life Hack You Need to Be Doing

There are those people that just seem to have it all together…I am not one of those people.  BUT, I am going through Todd Herman’s 90 Day Year program and am starting to see ways that I can get my $h!z together! By using just one of his life hacks at a time, I’ve completely transformed my level of efficiency.  (And, for those of you that know me personally, know that that’s saying something!)

Want to know a secret life hack for FREE?

This life hack can be applied in so many ways, it’s actually quite incredible.  Are you dying with suspense yet?

Well, I joined the 90 day year program with the idea that I could be more efficient in my crazy, hectic teaching world, and then also, just maybe apply the same ideas to my home life with two littles.  So far, I’ve implemented quite a bit of Todd’s ideas and am finding one to be the biggest game changer for me.  Are you ready for it?

My biggest life hack is…

Wait, what? I don’t understand…Well, I use themes in my classroom.  For each of my planning blocks, I have given them a theme.  (See below)

But, how can this possibly help me?

Are you a business owner? Give each day of the week a theme, i.e. systems, sales, marketing, etc… By defining each day, you have a better idea of what to focus on that day and subsequently, you are NOT running around like a chicken with your head cut off!

Are you a parent? Give each day of the week a theme for food, i.e. Monday is Mexican, Tuesday is Thai, Wednesday is Whatever, etc…

Are you a student? Give each day a class theme.  Every day after school focus on one class’ work.  If you finish early, then move on to the next one!

By giving each day a theme, you are planning out your days (allowing you to be more organized) and mapping out your time is essential to being productive and efficient.  Don’t believe me? Give it a try for at least a month (if you don’t do it long enough, it won’t become a habit).

Your Challenge: Leave a comment below on how you are planning to implement themes into your life.  Not sure, ask a question and I’ll try to give you some suggestions!
